About Cameron Hall

Established in 1998

Cameron Hall Assisted Living Center Canton and Ellijay GA Cameron Hall began as a dream in 1994, and opened in 1998. Joann Savage, President of Cameron Hall, worked as the Social Service Coordinator at R.T. Jones Regional Hospital (now Northside Hospital of Cherokee) for several years. While working with the senior community during their hospitalization, she saw a great need for a facility like Cameron Hall. "There weren't enough options available for patients in Cherokee County. Most individuals who required additional help were forced to choose nursing home placement over other options because it was either too expensive, not dependable enough, or they didn’t want to leave their community." While nursing homes are necessary and very appropriate for some, for those not requiring that level of care, the atmosphere could be very depressing and detrimental to their overall health.
